We are proud to continue Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s life's work and vision of creating a community, state, country and world dedicated to justice, equality and humanity. We endeavor to achieve these goals through our scholarship contest, memorial banquet, inter-faith observance, parade, rally in the park and support of other community based initiatives and organizations. In addition, we use this occasion to recognize the contribution of three unselfish "Servant Leaders" from our community through the presentation of the Community Service, Humanitarian and Brotherhood awards. The recipients of these awards have embraced the ideals of Dr. King and sacrificed their time and efforts to making our community a better place to live.
